Happy Halloween

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 30, 2008, 10:41 AM
  • Mood: Mortified

I do not have much time for a full Halloween Journal. I am on Jury Duty and am busy dealing with some other things.

Have a great Halloween!

Hi again! Thank you so much for adding that link to the article. I've read the 'How to be popular' one a few days ago, and it was kind of upsetting. I'm new to the site, and all I really want is to show everyone my work. I felt a little bad about wanting attention, but after reading this new article, I feel much better. It's ok to want to be noticed, but I want to be appreciated. Not just popular.

And you know what? I don't really care for popularity right now. I've met some new people on here, and even though it's a small number, I know they'll listen to me, and respond back. I think that's way better than being popular. :D

Happy Halloween!!(and good luck with the jury duty:)

Thanks for your comments. And thanks for commenting on the article also.

I did take some screen caps as I got to some pageview milestones... but it was more for my own info... to try to track how many visits, etc... (Math geek - we look for patterns and stuff.)

Thanks again.

No problem. ^^ Thanks you for the article link.

It's always nice to drop in on other journals to see what's what. How did jury duty go? (or have you not gone yet??)
:iconfrotton:
I agree... I enjoy reading journals.

I spent three days in a pool of prospective jurors as they questioned and excused other jurors. On the third day they agreed on a panel. The rest of us were dismissed.

Oh that's good. Finally over and done with.

Have you ever heard of the comedian Brian Regan? He did a very funny bit on jury duty. He talked about when everyone is asked the question, 'have you been a victom of a crime?' they each try to out do each other. If you ever need a laugh you should look him up, he's very talented. ^^
:iconfrotton:
I will look him up. Thanks :)

FreeRice has two goals:

1. Provide education to everyone for free.
2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.

Whether you are CEO of a large corporation or a street child in a poor country, improving your education can improve your life. It is a great investment in yourself.

Perhaps even greater is the investment your donated rice makes in hungry human beings, enabling them to function and be productive. Somewhere in the world, a person is eating rice that you helped provide. Thank you.
