FreeRice [link] is a sister site of Poverty.com. Our partners are the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and the United Nations World Food Program.
FreeRice has two goals:
1. Provide education to everyone for free.
2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.
This is made possible by the generosity of the sponsors who advertise on this site.
Whether you are CEO of a large corporation or a street child in a poor country, improving your education can improve your life. It is a great investment in yourself.
Perhaps even greater is the investment your donated rice makes in hungry human beings, enabling them to function and be productive. Somewhere in the world, a person is eating rice that you helped provide. Thank you.

And you know what? I don't really care for popularity right now. I've met some new people on here, and even though it's a small number, I know they'll listen to me, and respond back. I think that's way better than being popular.
Happy Halloween!!(and good luck with the jury duty
I did take some screen caps as I got to some pageview milestones... but it was more for my own info... to try to track how many visits, etc... (Math geek - we look for patterns and stuff.)
Thanks again.

It's always nice to drop in on other journals to see what's what. How did jury duty go? (or have you not gone yet??)
I spent three days in a pool of prospective jurors as they questioned and excused other jurors. On the third day they agreed on a panel. The rest of us were dismissed.

Have you ever heard of the comedian Brian Regan? He did a very funny bit on jury duty. He talked about when everyone is asked the question, 'have you been a victom of a crime?' they each try to out do each other. If you ever need a laugh you should look him up, he's very talented. ^^
