I do not have much time for a full Halloween Journal. I am on Jury Duty and am busy dealing with some other things.

Have a great Halloween!

Tough Times

Journal Entry: Tue Oct 14, 2008, 8:52 AM

To My Watchers

I really hate to do this... but I need to.

I am very involved with my union and am away from home a lot. Mostly on the weekends. I keep in contact with my family via cell phone. My wife and I added my sister-in-law to our plan a few years ago. It was cheaper than the collect calls we would get from her.

Over the summer, before I was going to be gone for over a week, my wife and I upgraded our phones. We also let my sister-in-law upgrade her phone. Her phone made it all too easy to send sound, music, video, pictures back and forth.

Well... in one month my sister-in-law racked up $800 in data transfer charges. She has no job, has no money. I can just afford the normal monthly costs.

Update: They canceled our contract... so now we owe over $1,600.

Needless to say, we are all now without cell phones indefinitely. With the cost of the calls from hotel rooms, my contact home is pretty limited.

If you can help in any way, I would appreciate it.

I am willing to create custom wallpaper in return for you assistance. Check out samples here: [link]

Thank you and sorry for having to do this.

++ October Features ++

100D Commitment

What follows is my attempt to fulfill my 100D promise to feature 100 deviants
during 2008. I am not sure what happened to the project.
But life has a way to change plans we all have.

Here are features 55-70. They are "unofficial" according to *The100DProject.
I chose them using the Random Deviant button and chose those that had under
20,000 pageviews and no DD's within 3 months (that I could see).

The 54 previous featured deviants can be found here: [link]

Without further ado... Here are MY next set of features

Prayers Needed (Update)

Prayers Needed

UPDATE

Dear All-

I can only say Jack has successfully come through his surgery. There has been detected some type of "rare infection" in the sack surrounding his heart. I only know he is being given X dose of antibiotics for this symptom. He does have other health issues that may have an effect on his recuperation. I can not share more without the family permssion.

God bless everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Please keep him in your heart.

Peace-

Connie

I just received this message in my in box from Connie, Jack *jshapeshifter's sister-in-law. I am posting her note as she wrote it. Most of us got to know Jack after his DA interview back in March [link]
- if you don't know his story, please take a moment to meet this wonderful human being.

Here is Connie's note:

Hello-

I saw you had posted on his journal, and I am looking for URGENT assistance.

He is my brother-in-law and suffered a heart attack early this morning 05Oct08 about 1 a.m.

I know DeviantArt is his home away from home.

I was wondering if there is a way to let his "community" know of this misfortune, and to rally around with thoughts of good will and support. He is scheduled for quad bypass surgery tomorrow later in the day (06Oct08).

If anyone wants to send him an encouraging note - they can send it to me at cgstanton@netscape.net, and I will make sure it is delivered to him.

I GREATLY appreciate any assistance you can lend, as I am so unfamiliar with this website.

Peace-

Connie

Please take the time to send your love, prayers and thoughts to Jack for a successful surgery and recovery. You can do this by emailing Connie at the above address.

1. Provide education to everyone for free.
2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.
